Vakkantham Vamsi's career has had so many twists and turns, that he simply stopped planning ahead and decided to just take the path as it opened up opportunities – and do the best he can in whatever life handed to him.
Born in Arikela village, Vamsi graduated from Tirupathi Venkateswara University and decided his fortune lay either in front of or behind the camera. His penchant for acting brought him much recognition in his school and college, but what made him stand out was the magic in his voice.
Vamsi made his mark as newsreader on ETV, then moved on as an actor: in Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao's 'Kalyana Prapthirasthu' to Sukha Muni in Bapu-Ramana's teleserial "Bhagavatham". Vamsi has been there, done that, on screen and off. He then tried his hand at scriptwriting and saw resounding success with his story for "Kick" - after which there was no looking back.
Vakkantham Vamsi is our next reader as we move farther into Bapu-Ramana's "Kothikommachi".
